CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

Akash International Public School offers various co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. Programs are designed to provide students with opportunities to identify and nurture their unique talents. Competitions such as poetry recitation, quizzes, handwriting, art, elocution, essay writing and music are conducted in the course of the academic year to prepare and equip students with communication, social and self management skills. These competitions are designed to develop and hone the children’s contemporary knowledge and overall confidence.

R.E.A.D PROGRAM

The R.E.A.D (Reading Enrichment and Development) program is aimed to inculcate a love for books and the written word. The purpose of this program is to enhance vocabulary, thinking and comprehension skills through exciting activities such as the Library Week, Author week, in-class libraries, digital library and book exhibitions.

SPORTS AND FITNESS

One of our core beliefs is that all students should have the opportunity to engage in sports and fitness.

The activities include : Football, Basketball, Cricket, Badmition, Athletics, Yoga, Indigenous Sports

VISUAL AND PERFORMING ARTS

The Arts program is a child-centric curriculum which has been designed to help the child see, express and appreciate art. Starting with the elements of design (line, colour, shape, space, texture, etc) students gradually move in depth to the principles of design (balance, pattern, emphasis, contrast, rhythm, and etc).

Music classes at Glentree Academy foster & develop skills in performance and musicianship. Students are encouraged and enabled to express themselves musically and respond to music made by others. Students achieve these musical goals through singing, rhythm activities, creative movement, playing instruments, and listening activities.

The Dance program offers a combination of coordination, strength, flexibility and spatial awareness that are not only the basics for all other sports, but are also skills for life. The curriculum is designed to be progressive, safe, fun, and motivate boys & girls alike. Students are encouraged to strive for both individual and team performances.

Acting is a life skill that develops creativity, collaboration and communication. These are vital skills for today’s classrooms and tomorrow’s working adults. The Theatre program offers fun-filled and meaningful theatrical experiences.
